The holidays are coming and RSVP is typically really busy this time of year. We are scheduling a few things with the knowledge that things might change between now and then. Volunteers will be spaced far apart at individual tables. Masks required until you are at your own table.
Here are some of our current volunteer needs:
We'll be decorating the Community Building for Christmas on Tuesday, December 1st at 10am for anyone who would like to help. Masks required.
Instead of having our annual "Little Elves Workshop" in person this year, we will be wrapping gifts at the Community Building, then taking the wrapped gifts to Head Start. The children will still be earning Santa Bucks to purchase gifts for their families, but they have chosen the gifts ahead of time from a list we sent over. Gift wrapping is scheduled for Tuesday, December 8th from 10am to noon and Wednesday December 9th from noon to 2pm.
Wrap a Lap is scheduled for Thursday, December 10th from 10am to noon. Also appreciated are people who can deliver the wrapped blankets to area nursing facilities.
For anyone who knits or crochets, we are in need of people to make baby booties for the infants born at Daviess Community Hospital. We have patterns or you can use your own and we supply the yarn.
Cards and notes are always appreciated by the residents of nursing facilities. If you would like to write some, just let us know. We can provide notecards if you need them.
