July 2025 Newsletter
July is here and so is the heat, so make sure to hydrate especially if you are volunteering outside. Your semi-annual newsletter will be coming this month, so be sure to check your mailbox for it soon. In this month's digital newsletter you will find upcoming opportunities, birthdays, and early birds. If you don't see something that you think is coming up, give us a call.

Other news: We will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. We will be back in office the following Monday at 8 a.m.
The offices will also be closed Tuesday, July 15th through Friday, July 18th. We will be back in office on Monday, July 21st.
We would like to host Tech Tuesday more frequently so that seniors who need help with devices can receive that help in a judgement free environment. If you are comfortable with your phone, computer, or tablet and would like to help, please shoot us a text or give us a call. We will be working towards getting a date on the calendar for more community members to come receive help.

The First Choice mailing will be hosted at the Community Building Tuesday, July 8th and Wednesday, July 9th from 10 a.m. to noon. We have a few spots available if you would like to come help with folding and labeling.

Bear Workshop is a time when volunteers come together to cut patterns, sew, and stuff teddy bears. These bears go out to children in the hospital, foster care, or who may have been part of a traumatic experience like a car accident. Recently, some of the bears have also been donated to Operation Christmas Shoebox to bless children all over the world. If you would like to be a part of this mission, reach out to us about getting involved.
July 22nd is this month's bear workshop date.

Senior Fitness Classes will resume on July 9th. We apologize for the conflict preventing it from occurring more often. This class tends to have small turn out, so we can cater it more towards you. Need to work on stability? We can do that. Need to work on endurance? Let's get dancing! Jennifer does a great job keeping you moving without pushing you beyond your limits.
