September 2025 Newsletter

September has arrived so break out those sweaters and get ready to rake those leaves. If you are looking for something to do, we have a soup kit coming up on September 24 at 10 a.m. Let us know if you want to get involved.

If you never received a semi-annual newsletter, please come to our office to pick one up.

Other news: We will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.

We would like to host Tech Tuesday more frequently so that seniors who need help with devices can receive that help in a judgement free environment. If you are comfortable with your phone, computer, or tablet and would like to help, please shoot us a text or give us a call. We will be working towards getting a date on the calendar for more community members to come receive help.

The First Choice mailing will be hosted at the Community Building Monday, September 8th and Tuesday, September 9th from 10 a.m. to noon. We have a few spots available if you would like to come help with folding and labeling.

Bear Workshop is a time when volunteers come together to cut patterns, sew, and stuff teddy bears. These bears go out to children in the hospital, foster care, or who may have been part of a traumatic experience like a car accident. Recently, some of the bears have also been donated to Operation Christmas Shoebox to bless children all over the world. If you would like to be a part of this mission, reach out to us about getting involved.

September 23rd is this month's bear workshop date.
