November 2025 Newsletter
Fall is finally here and the cold is definitely moving in. As we move into these colder months, don't forget that you can still volunteer even while at home. Whether it be crocheting, writing letters, calling shut-ins, or any other number of things, your volunteer service matters.
We would also like our pen pals to know that we will be sending the letters from your pen pals via email if we have your email on file. You can come pick up your letter or we will mail it out to you, but we want to make sure you get it in time to send your response.
Important dates to consider: November 3rd, will be our recognition reception and we need your RSVP in ASAP so we know how many tables to set up.
November 11th our offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
November 27th and 28th we will be out of office for Thanksgiving.
November 11th is Veterans Day and we would like to extend our gratitude to all of our veterans. We know that we wouldn't have many of the freedoms that we do if it weren't for your sacrifice of not only your time, but also comfort, mental health, and physical health. Thank you, veterans!

We will be assisting with Tech Tuesday at The Villages at Oak Ridge on November 18th starting at 2 p.m. Contact us for more information or to sign up to help!
If you are comfortable with your phone, computer, or tablet and would like to help, please shoot us a text or give us a call.

The First Choice mailing will be hosted at the Community Building Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th from 10 a.m. to noon. We have a few spots available if you would like to come help with folding and labeling.

Bear Workshop is a time when volunteers come together to cut patterns, sew, and stuff teddy bears. These bears go out to children in the hospital, foster care, or who may have been part of a traumatic experience like a car accident. Recently, some of the bears have also been donated to Operation Christmas Shoebox to bless children all over the world. If you would like to be a part of this mission, reach out to us about getting involved.
November 25th is this month's bear workshop date, and the final workshop of the year.
